Auxiliary diagnostic system for ADHD in children based on AI technology Research

Yanyi Zhang, Ming Kong, Tianqi Zhao, Wenchen Hong, Di Xie, Chunmao Wang, Rongwang Yang, Rong Li, Qiang Zhu,doczyy1981@sina.com,zjukongming@zju.edu.cn,zhuq@zju.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2021, Volume 22, Issue 3,   Pages 400-414 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1900729

Abstract: Traditional diagnosis of in children is primarily through a questionnaire filled out by parents/teachers and clinical observations by doctors. It is inefficient and heavily depends on the doctor’s level of experience. In this paper, we integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technology into a software-hardware coordinated system to make ADHD diagnosis more efficient. Together with the intelligent analysis module, the camera group will collect the eye focus, facial expression, 3D body posture, and other children’s information during the completion of the functional test. Then, a multi-modal model is proposed to classify abnormal behavior fragments of children from the captured videos. In combination with other system modules, standardized diagnostic reports can be automatically generated, including test results, abnormal behavior analysis, diagnostic aid conclusions, and treatment recommendations. This system has participated in clinical diagnosis in Department of Psychology, The Children’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and has been accepted and praised by doctors and patients.

Availability growth models and verification of power equipment

Jinyuan SHI, Jiamin XU

Frontiers in Energy 2021, Volume 15, Issue 2,   Pages 529-538 doi: 10.1007/s11708-019-0624-0

Abstract: The general availability growth models for large scale complicated repairable system such as electric generating units, power station auxiliaries, and transmission and distribution installations are presented. The calculation formulas for the maintenance coefficient, mathematical expressions for general availability growth models, ways for estimating, and fitting on checking the parameters of the model are introduced. Availability growth models for electric generating units, power station auxiliaries, and transmission and distribution installations are given together with verification examples for availability growth models of 320–1000 MW nuclear power units and 1000 MW thermal power units, 200–1000 MW power station auxiliaries, and 220–500 kV transmission and distribution installations. The verification results for operation availability data show that the maintenance coefficients for electric generating units, power station auxiliaries, transmission and distribution installations conform to the power function, and general availability growth models conform to rules of availability growth tendency of power equipment.

Three-dimensional electromagnetic analysis and design of permanent magnet retarder

Lezhi YE, Desheng LI, Bingfeng JIAO

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2010, Volume 5, Issue 4,   Pages 438-441 doi: 10.1007/s11465-010-0111-0

Abstract: An eddy current retarder for vehicles generates much heat when it works continuously, which leads to serious decline in braking torque. This paper proposes a novel permanent magnet retarder (PMR) for vehicles, whose cooling system connects with engine cooling-water. A three-dimensional finite element model is developed to model the electromagnetic behavior of a permanent magnet retarder under a constant speed. The magnetic field and eddy current field in PMR are numerically solved by a finite element method. By accounting for the nonlinear permeability of the rotor and the weakened effect in the magnetic field that is generated by the eddy current magnetic field, the calculation accuracy of air-gap magnetic field is enhanced. Experiment shows that the temperature of the retarder is less than 150°C, and the braking torque keeps the hard characteristics curve. The calculated air-gap magnetic flux density is fairly good agreement with the measured one.

Strategic Study of CAE 2018, Volume 20, Issue 2,   Pages 92-98 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2018.02.014

Abstract:

China has become an aging society faced with difficult challenges. However, the country’s endowment system is still in the infant stage, and the pension problem has become one of the major problems that need to be solved promptly. Based on China's national policies, this paper proposes a "Medical-and-Care Wisdom Linkage" pension system with a large hospital for diagnosis and treatment as the centerpiece. This system can connect institutional pension models, community pension models, and family pension models by means of the Internet. At the same time, the system uses new cloud-based artificial intelligence for diagnosis and rehabilitation. Related practice has proven that using the Internet, advanced artificial intelligence, and other effective comprehensive treatment technologies to solve the current problems of China?s pension industry has important research value. These are also very promising efforts that are in line with national development strategies and relevant policies.
